Dana Cowell submitted his fourth (and final) report for his week at Sekiu: "Sekiu fishing report for 8-4-2017: Fished Sekiu for 6 hours this Friday morning (8-4-2017). My fishing setup is shown in the photo (OG2 lure with a 3/0 Owner Siwash hook, 42-inch leader, behind a green hotspot flasher). All of my fishing was with a down rigger, usually with 90 ft of wire out, trolling with, or across, the current. The nine pound hatchery Chinook in the photo was taken near the green buoy just off Slip Point (90 ft of wire in 120 ft of water). Later I saw an "arch" (fish) on my fish finder at 150 ft in 230 ft of water and I quickly let out 160 ft of wire. As soon as I sat down, the pole bounced and it was FISH ON! Nice fight for a pink, which was about 6 pounds! It's cool when the fish finder actually finds a fish, rather than just telling me how deep they are! I released the pink, and, went back to 90 ft of wire. I lost one OG2 lure on a strong clip release. The line was a little "rough" due to the number of fish I was hooking, and should have been replaced! I had about seven other shakers this morning. Another great day on the water! I am very impressed with the Old Goat OG2 lures, for catching salmon!" Dana: Thank you for these reports! And, for your willingness to put the OG2 to work there in Sekiu. We appreciate it! --Donn
