Every September, the ocean coho start pushing into Washington's Puget Sound as they head for the rivers. Had a chance to head out this past Wednesday and fish Washington's MA10 with several fishermen. The goal was to try a couple of new colors and sizes of the OG2.
We did ok. Not lights out; but, four decent coho for our effort. (Curiously, a small pink/white OG2 was one of the new lures that did well for us. I'd painted that lure last year to test for the pinks that run during odd years in the Sound. My nephew decided to clip it on and it fished well for the silvers!)

Three weeks ago, we ran a test on a new 5" UV-reflective OG2 in the green color. What we discovered is that when we fished this lure before the sun was over the horizon, it was hands-down, our most effective offering. (Once the sun came up, our 3.3" OG2 in blue/black-scales started dominating. But, for that early bite, the UV-reflective, in the 5" size, was the color!)
They're available now on the store! |
