Had a chance to fish Rock Lake on Saturday afternoon with my brother and my nephew (and their two gun-dog pups)! Awesome time on the water!
We put the boat in around noon, loaded everyone on board, and headed for the north end of the lake. The lures that were most effective were the: 2.8" OG1 in perch, the 2.8" OG1 in fluoro-orange, and the 2.44" OG1 in orange-perch. (We caught several fish on other colors.) By the time we were done, they both had their limits: eight rainbow trout, a brown trout, and a kokanee. (That last fish surprised us!) We trolled one lure off of the downrigger, one off of the middle rod (behind a small dipsy-diver), and, one lure behind a 3/4 ounce crescent weight. Trolling speed was around 2.5mph.
