Just received the below report from Jim H. who was fishing the OG1s for trout in Tennessee:
"Hey Donn, Received the shipment of lures yesterday…great to hear from you. They look great and thanks for the extras!! I’m already planning to try the OG2s for muskies\stripers\walleyes at a steam plant near here where we fish at night in the winter. Those fish haven’t seen anything like the OG! Had to shorten the leader some for casting, but I think they will work that way…will let you know how they do. I do fish saltwater and will try them there next time I go. I have to admit that I have carried the OG1 (1.8”) samples you provided a couple years in my tackle bag without really putting them in the water. I finally decided to give the pink OG1 a try a couple weeks ago at a trout fishery in the Nolichucky River at Erwin, TN. The results were amazing (see photos…that’s me in the center of the 1st photo, on the right in the 2nd). Easily caught my limit (7) both trips using only the OG1 and once pulled in 3 on 4 casts. I used a 1/8 oz. split shot just above the swivel to get it down some. These results are what prompted me to order more! We have previously used a #7 flo. orange rapala for these fish, but I think the orange OG1 (2.44”) will be replacing that. My fishing buddy was watching closely and you’ll probably be getting an order from him too. Thanks again Donn and congrats on the great product. I’m certainly glad you sent them to try down here. I can’t wait to try OGs for lake trout too (downrigging/trolling)… we have them in two lakes down here. Best regards and Merry Christmas!" Jim! Thanks for the report--and--thanks for putting the OG1s to work down there!
