We had a customer contact us earlier and explain that they'd had success in Lake Wenatchee for the sockeye, last summer, with our 2.13" UV-Orange lures. But, because these fish are bigger, they'd removed our 12-pound kokanee leaders and replaced them with 15-pound leaders and size 2/0 hooks. On the off chance that others are interested in rigging their own OG1s, we've put a batch of 2.13" in the UV-Orange on our online store. We're selling them as 2-packs. (Get yours before they're gone!)

In July of 2020, the 3.9" Purple/Black-scale OG2 took a 30lb King out of Sekiu, Washington. That color combination proved to be effective; and, we've sold a lot of 'em. As a result, we decided to offer that same color in the next size down (3.3") as there are times when a slightly smaller lure seems to trigger the strike. (If you troll the 3.3" and 3.9" side-by-side, you'll notice that the smaller lure vibrates at a faster frequency.) You can get yours now through the online store. Photos below, the 2nd photo shows the size difference between the 3.9" and 3.3" lures. Dana C. was fishing the white/black-scale OG2 out of Sekiu, Washington last week and landed this nice hatchery king:  Captain Eric and his wife Jan on the G'Day charters out of Valdez, AK sent the following photos of a nice King salmon taken by one of their clients. This fish took the Fluoro-Green/Pink/White OG2 in the 3.9" size. Absolutely appreciate the report and photos! Washington's Puget Sound offers a resident coho fishery that begins in June. These are fish that remain in the Sound their entire life and never venture out into the ocean. One of our customers indicated they'd taken resident coho in Washington's MA10 on the fluoro-green/pink/white OG2. Decided to send a couple in the 2.8" size to Captain Drogseth who skippers the Ruby D out of Edmonds. He just emailed me a photo of a client who caught a couple of nice fish today on this lure. Looks like those fish are starting to put on some weight! |
