Received the below report from Dana Cowell who was fishing the OG2 last week out of Sekiu:
"I took a fishing trip to Sekiu for the 4th of July. I retied the same setup that I used successfully most of last year (Old Goat OG2 Blue/Green Lure with a Owner 3/0 Siwash hook, and 46 inches of 30 # fluorocarbon to a green Hot Spot flasher). I released about two dozen small or nice size wild salmon, looking for a hatchery keeper. I thought it was starting to rain, but it was bait fish jumping all around the boat! I looked at the fish finder and the upper part of the screen was solid bait fish. I was at 80ft of cable on the DR in 130 ft of water and went too far under the bait. I brought the cable up to 40 ft, and swung the boat around for another pass through the bait. Fish on! No adipose fin, so this King salmon went in the net. Eight and a half pounds, will go nice on the BBQ! Thanks Donn for making these fish catching lures! See attached photo!" Dana! Thanks for putting the OG2 to work and sending the report!
