Rock Lake: October 5, 2016
Ran a quick test of the three new freshwater colors that appear below in the blog.
Initially, I fished the green/black-scale with fluorescent orange tail for apx. 45 minutes. Nothing touched it.
Since I have a two-rod permit, I decided to fish the new purple/black-scale with orange tail against the red-oxide/fluorescent orange. (The red-oxide has been a go-to color, and lure, for Rock Lake.)
What happened next was crazy: The purple/orange out-fished the red-oxide by a factor of four to one. In about an hour and a half, I was done. Limit on the stringer. Over.

Those steelhead plants in Rock Lake are looking really good. (And, they're even better on the smoker...)

I'll try to keep the blog updated every so often: posting pictures submitted by customers, notes about recent tests, etc.
