Just received the below report from Todd Miller who ordered several OG1 lures last week:
I fished Sprague Lake (WA) today (10-18-16). It was overcast with rain on and off and a little breezy. Sprague is a shallow lake (15-20 feet at the deeper areas) and I typically fish it spring and fall for trout. In the fall the water is pretty murky with a lot of left over algea bloom from the summer. I normally fish in 6-10 feet of water and usually troll rapala type lures (of various sizes). Today I used my normal producers against the OG1 2.8" purple & black scales w/flourescent orange tail. I tried various presentations for the OG1 (first with a bottom bouncer to get it down, then about 10-15 feet back on a downrigger) . I was not having any luck with my normal producers or the OG1. I then tried staying in 10 feet of water and used the OG1 50' back on the downrigger which was 5' down. The OG1 caught me 4 decent trout (16-17 inches). I only had a couple hits on my rapalas and was not able to get them to the boat. I was impressed with the action of this lure. My trolling speed was about 1.7-2.0. Water surface temp was 50 degrees. Great lure! Looking forward to more head to head comparisons. Todd: Many thanks for your order, and, for the detailed report. Appreciate it!
