I'd sent several of our OG2s to Captain Travis White of Keweenaw Charters in Michigan state. He had a chance to run the 5" fluoro-green/chartreuse OG2 last Friday. Below is his report (and a photo he included). He's nicknamed that OG2 the "Celery Stick"!
Hi Donn, The first time I got one of your lures wet was this past Friday. Instant success on the lake trout! I fished the green "celery stick" all weekend behind a 00 silver dodger. It produced a good number of trout as well as some nice size fish too. It honestly was a top producer, and I'd say it performs equally as well if not better than running a spin-n-glow behind the dodger. The larger size w/ the saltwater hook is definitely the way to go for the trout, I wouldn't want anything smaller. The plug has great action in the water, and I also feel the hooking configuration resulted in a pretty high hooking and landing rate. My clients were very impressed and all thought this was a cool lure! I'll try to get some more photos of it in action as I am able. Attached is a shot from this past weekend. Travis: Absolutely appreciate your putting the OG2 to work and reporting the results! Thank you!
