Dana Cowell just submitted the below report for a morning trip out of Ediz Hook in Port Angeles:
"I started fishing Ediz Hook out of Port Angles this morning about 6:30 am. I was fishing the Old Goat 2.8 OG2 green/black scales with a green hotspot flasher on a DR. I had one shaker after an hour. I was trolling west with the current, next to the guys that were jigging for salmon in 100 ft of water, with 90 ft of cable on the DR. At 8:20am, as I passed the guys jigging, my line popped out of the clip! I turned the boat out from the crowd, got control of the fish, and netted a bright 8# Chinook! This Chinook had small 2 to 3 inch herring in its stomach. The fish just nailed the Old Goat lure (see the hook in the fishes jaw)! Thanks again for making lures that nail the salmon!" Dana: Thank you for the report and photo! And, thanks for putting that OG2 to work up there! We absolutely appreciate it!!
