The 5" OG2 in fluoro-green/chartreuse took us by surprise 3 weeks ago when we ran a quick test out of Sekiu, Washington.
We published the results. But, wanted to be sure that this first outing wasn't a fluke. So, last week, we made the 10 hour drive to Sekiu again. Brought more of the 5" OG2s and re-ran our tests. No flasher, no downrigger, just a solo lure fished fast. (The angle of the downrigger cable was well over 45 degrees--closer to 60.) Last week's trip solidified our conclusion: That lure, and that color, are very effective for the coho. (In addition, it hooked a number of Blackmouth salmon that we released.)
